Delta Dental’s Veterans Affairs Dental Insurance Program (VADIP) is administered by the Federal Government Programs division of Delta Dental of California through its subsidiary Delta Dental Insurance Company (DDIC).
DAV is a leading Veteran service organization (VSO), supporting those who’ve served and been disabled in uniform since World War I. They advocate for these heroes and work tirelessly to ensure Veterans and their families get full access to the benefits they’ve earned and the resources they’ll need to live rich, fulfilling lives. It’s a mission that Delta Dental is proud to support.
As a Signature Partner of DAV, we are proud to serve Veterans by helping them access care. We also empower them with educational resources that help them understand the connection between their oral and overall health.
Oral health is so much more than healthy teeth and gums, it’s linked to our overall health. Tooth loss and gum disease can cause infections and lead to poor diet, difficulty speaking, diabetes and heart disease.¹,² Additionally, serious health conditions such as cancer and Alzheimer's disease can impact your oral health.³
With Veterans having consistently higher rates of gum disease, missing teeth and cavities, and with only 20% of them qualifying for dental care through a VA dental clinic,⁴ it’s critical that we protect all Veterans’ oral health. This is especially true for those who have been disabled in action.
“Access to comprehensive dental care for all service-disabled Veterans is another essential step. Poor dental health can lead to heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Dental care is health care. Period.”

Our partnership with DAV includes sponsoring special events for Veterans. One of the biggest is the annual Winter Sports Clinic (WSC). This year’s event was our 10th as a sponsor and the 40th in WSC history. Our team was honored to be there supporting everyone who came out.
“Volunteering and capturing media at the Disabled American Veterans Winter Sports Clinic has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I go thinking I’m there to serve and support the athletes, but each year I leave changed myself. Watching Veterans in wheelchairs or living with paralysis take on rock climbing and skiing, supported by an incredible community of volunteers, is a powerful reminder of resilience, courage and possibility. It’s an experience that stays with me long after the snow melts.”
