Your smile can say a lot about your health. That’s why, beginning in 2026, Delta Dental is extending SmileWay Wellness Benefits¹ to eligible FEDVIP members. This enhanced dental benefit provides extra cleanings and deep cleanings — at no added cost² — to help manage the oral effects of chronic medical conditions and support your overall health.

You may qualify if you're enrolled in a Delta Dental FEDVIP plan and are managing one or more of these chronic health conditions:

How SmileWay works with your FEDVIP dental benefits

SmileWay Wellness Benefits are an addition to your plan's regular dental coverage, not a replacement. That means you still receive all your regular plan benefits, including two routine cleanings per year, exams and X-rays. SmileWay adds more covered care specifically for members managing chronic medical conditions.

These enhanced services include extra cleanings and a periodontal deep cleaning per quadrant, covered at 100%. SmileWay gives you more tools to care for your oral and overall health without changing what your plan already provides.
