Social Responsibility

Doing business responsibly

In order to do our part for our communities, we must first start at home with our employees and trusted business partners.

Our Ethics and Code of Business Conduct

The Ethics Guide was created in 2019 to provide guidance on behaviors Delta Dental employees are expected to follow, regardless of business, job function or seniority. It reflects our continued commitment to the standards and values that make us a successful enterprise and a trusted partner.

The guide includes content that ranges from intellectual property to workplace safety to corporate social responsibility.

Sustainability practices

We’re committed to reducing our environmental impact, being good corporate citizens and leading the way toward a more sustainable future. As an organization dedicated to sustainability, we encourage our enrollees and dentists to opt for electronic document delivery.

In 2018, dentists increased their paperless communications by 44%. The resulting decrease in paper significantly reduces our ecological footprint. Our offices across the enterprise aim to stay green, from recycling in all our offices to reducing the number of printers in 2018 by 33%.
