Delta Dental of California today announced it has been recognized as one of the top 25 corporate philanthropists in the San Francisco Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times. In the publication’s 2021 Bay Area Corporate Philanthropists list, Delta Dental is ranked number 23 out of 100, marking the fifth consecutive year of a placement in the top 50 and reflecting the leading dental health benefit provider’s continuing commitment to investing in the communities it serves through its philanthropic arm, the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation.
The San Francisco Business Times Corporate Philanthropy list annually cites the Bay Area’s most generous corporate citizens and highlights those who made contributions to Bay Area-based charitable organizations in the following counties: San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma. In 2021, Delta Dental granted $21 million across its 15-state service area and District of Columbia, including more than $4.4 million to Bay Area nonprofits.
“We are proud to continue supporting the important work of our partners and their unwavering commitment to delivering much-needed care and assistance to the various communities they serve,” said Kenzie Ferguson, vice president of foundation and corporate social responsibility for Delta Dental of California. “We are honored to once again be recognized among the Bay Area’s top philanthropists by the San Francisco Business Times, which affirms Delta Dental’s mission of increasing equity and access to oral health care, especially for the underserved, senior adults and people of color, to help make the communities we serve stronger, healthier and more resilient.”
