PIX11 – From hot flashes to night sweats and mood swings, menopause has become a hot topic. However, many don’t realize the effect menopause can have on oral health. A recent survey shows that 52% of women are not aware that gum disease risk increases when estrogen levels drop.

Sarah Chavarria, CEO and president of Delta Dental Insurance Company, joined PIX 11 Anchor Marysol Castro to discuss preventative oral health habits during menopause. She also shared key findings from the organization’s second report on oral health and Menopause.
